Harriet Adong

Harriet works with Foundation for Integrated Rural Development Uganda (FIRD) as The Gender and Policy Advocacy Officer, Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, a Certificate in Conflict Transformation and a Certificate in Gender and Transitional Justice and pursuing her Masters in Gender Studies. Harriet is passionate about promoting the rights of women and children in post conflict Northern Uganda and works to help women and girls displaced by the war and survivors of sexual and gender-based violence overcome poverty and develop sustainable livelihoods through community awareness out reaches and trainings, Community Drama advocacy, use of social media to ensure that girls and women’s rights are promoted and protected.
