Habiba Osman

From her role in spearheading a national campaign on the enactment of the Trafficking in Persons Law to her present position in helping eliminate violence against women, Habiba Osman has dedicated her career to being both a human rights activist and defender. Her current position as a program specialist at UN Women’s Malawi office involves pushing for positive reforms for both women and girls in Malawi, especially in the realm of child marriage. Ms. Osman took part in amending the constitutional age of child marriage from 16 years-old to 18 years-old in Malawi.
